چکیده

The extreme ultraviolet (EUV) phase retarder is an important optical element for polarization analysis and conversion of EUV synchrotron radiation. In this paper, a linearly chirped Mo/Si multilayer mirror used to design retarder. With increasing thickness variation the multilayer, reflective retardation between s- p-polarized light increases at first then reaches its maximum value. When bilayer number from 2 20, source with photon energy 90 eV 5.97° 245.10° 14.7 nm central thickness. addition, retardations mirrors different energies (80 eV, 85 eV) are also investigated compared. Furthermore, physical mechanism improvement studied by investigating field intensity distributions inside mirrors.

Design of multilayer extreme-ultraviolet mirrors for enhanced reflectivity.

We show numerically that the reflectivity of multilayer extreme-UV (EUV) mirrors tuned for the 11-14-nm spectral region, for which the two-component, Mo/Be and Mo/Si multilayer systems with constant layer thickness are commonly used, can be enhanced significantly when we incorporate additional materials within the stack. The reflectivity performance of the quarter-wavelength multilayers can be ...

Compression of attosecond harmonic pulses by extreme-ultraviolet chirped mirrors.

In the race toward attosecond pulses, for which high-order harmonics generated in rare gases are the best candidates, both the harmonic spectral range and the spectral phase have to be controlled. We demonstrate that multilayer extreme-ultraviolet chirped mirrors can be numerically optimized and designed to compensate for the intrinsic harmonic chirp that was recently discovered and that is res...

Multilayer Thin Films Dielectric Double Chirped Mirrors Design

The double chirped mirror DCM appeared to meet the need to compensate for the gain crystal dispersion of solid state lasers in a broad wavelength range. Compared to earlier dispersion compensation techniques, they enabled remarkable improvements in the field of generating ultra short pulses. When ultra broad band gain media are used inside laser cavities, cavity dispersion plays an important ro...

Improved Theoretical Reflectivities of Extreme Ultraviolet Mirrors

We show that the theoretical reflectivities of multilayered Mo/Be and Mo/Si extreme ultraviolet (EUV) mirrors tuned for the 11-14 nm spectral region can be enhanced significantly by incorporating additional materials within the stack. The reflectivity performance of these quarter-wave multilayers can be enhanced further by global optimization procedures by which the layer thicknesses are varied...
